Booking & Cancellation Policies
Clear and fair policies for your peace of mind
Deposit Requirement
A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking for tours, car rentals, stays, or activities. This secures your reservation and allows us to make necessary arrangements.
Final Payment
The remaining 70% balance must be paid on the first day of your tour, car rental, stay, or activity. Payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer.
Accepted Payment Methods
- Bank transfer (recommended for deposit)
- Cash (Euros, US Dollars, or Moroccan Dirhams)
- PayPal (subject to additional fees)
- Credit/Debit cards (in some cases)
30+ Days Before
Full refund of your 30% deposit minus a 5% administrative fee.
15-29 Days Before
50% refund of your deposit. We retain 50% to cover committed arrangements.
7-14 Days Before
25% refund of your deposit. Most arrangements are already confirmed at this stage.
Less Than 7 Days or No-Show
No refund. All arrangements are finalized and cannot be cancelled without loss.
Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.
We understand that travel plans can change. Here's how we handle modifications:
- Date changes made 30+ days in advance: Free of charge (subject to availability)
- Date changes made 15-29 days in advance: €50 modification fee
- Date changes made less than 15 days in advance: €100 modification fee
- Changes to tour type or vehicle: Subject to price difference and availability
- Group size changes: Must be notified at least 7 days in advance
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation
- Prices may vary during peak seasons (December-February, July-August)
- Special dietary requirements must be communicated at booking
- Travel insurance is highly recommended for your protection
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest) may affect our standard policies
- Children under 5 years travel free on most tours (sharing parents' accommodation)

MerzougaWay ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This section explains what information we collect when you contact us or book a tour, how we use it, and the rights you have over it - including your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you are visiting from the European Economic Area or UK.

When you contact us (by form, email, or WhatsApp) or book a tour, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone/WhatsApp number
- Travel dates, group size, and tour preferences
- Dietary requirements, allergies, or health information you choose to share so we can plan your tour safely
- Payment confirmation details for deposits (e.g. a bank transfer or PayPal receipt) - we do not store your card or bank account numbers
- Standard website analytics data (approximate location, device/browser type, pages visited) via Google Analytics
How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare a tour quote
- To organize and run your booked tour (coordinating accommodation, transport, and guides)
- To communicate with you before, during, and after your trip
- To improve our website and services using aggregated, anonymized analytics
Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. Analytics cookies only load after you interact with the page, not on your first visit. You can disable cookies at any time in your browser settings; some site features may not work as intended if you do.
Third-Party Services
We share the minimum data necessary with these providers to run our business:
- WhatsApp (Meta) - for messaging and booking coordination
- Zoho Mail - for email correspondence
- Google Analytics - for website analytics
- Netlify - for website hosting
- PayPal / our bank - for processing deposit payments
Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.
Data Retention
We keep booking-related correspondence and records for as long as necessary to deliver your tour and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to how we process your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Data
Our services are not directed at children. We only collect information about children when a parent or guardian provides it as part of a family tour booking.
