Onward travel from Casablanca to Marrakech adds either a short domestic flight or a few hours by road or train. Direct Cairo-Marrakech service isn't something you should assume is available year-round; check current routings when you book, since airlines add and drop direct connections between these two countries periodically. Royal Air Maroc and EgyptAir are the two carriers most likely to serve this route, sometimes with a connection through a European or Gulf hub depending on the season and demand.

The realistic door-to-door total

Flight time alone understates the actual journey. Add airport arrival buffer on the Cairo side (security and check-in for an international departure typically wants 2-3 hours of lead time), then landing, immigration, and baggage claim on arrival, plus the transfer from the airport into the city. Why overland isn't a real option
