Best time to visit
October to April. Summer (June–August) is extremely hot (45°C+). March and November offer ideal temperatures around 25°C with smaller crowds.
Getting there
No airport in Merzouga. Fly into Marrakech (RAK), Fes (FEZ), or Ouarzazate (OZZ), then take a private 4x4 tour or shared transport. Most visitors join a guided tour from Marrakech (8–9h) or Fes (6–7h).
